GERALD ALEXANDER POIRIER
Gerald Alexander Poirier, 70 - Glace Bay
It is with heart felt sadness that we the family announce the passing of Gerald Alexander Poirier, on Aug. 17, 2014.
Born in Glace Bay Gerald was the son of the late John 'Biffo' and Margaret (Cameron) Poirier.
He was employed as a bartender for many years at Branch 3 Legion, as everyone who knew him knows, he was a #1 Montreal Canadians fan.
Surviving are his spouse Tina Hall, step-daughter Lynn (Shawn Hardy) and their children Justin, Erica, Patrick, Shawn Jr., Shawntel, and Brandon, step-son Glen and his children, Aleigha Worthington, and Nevaeh; sister Linda (Adrian) Robinson and brother Tim (Carol) Poirier.
Besides his parents his was predeceased by a special Aunt Helen Adshade.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St, Glace Bay. Funeral will be held on Friday Aug. 22, 10 a.m. St. Anne’s church.
Donations in Gerald’s memory can be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center.
