The death of Edgar Charles Tower, 78, of Sackville, occurred at his home at the Drew Nursing Home, in the evening of August 7, 2014. Born in Johnsons Mills, NB, Edgar was a son of the late Herman and Tressa Tower.
Edgar enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and trapper. He had a love for cats and dogs. He was a shy man, but always enjoyed the visits of his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister Irene (Laurie) Smith of Sackville; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, including his long-time caregiver and grand-nephew, Robbie Smith, of Wood Point.
Edgar was predeceased by his brothers Leslie and Melbourne, and a sister, Vivian.
Arrangements were under the care and guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (506-364-1300) from where a funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Burial in the family plot at the Rockport Cemetery. Pastor Danny Jack officiating.
