We regret to announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Florence Dolena MacLean in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Malagawatch, she was the daughter of the late Laughlan James and Annie Bessie (Campbell) Moody. Florence drove the school bus for 25 years for the Inverness District School Board. She enjoyed her job, playing cards, bingo and Sean’s cooking.
Florence is survived by her nieces and nephews, Shirley Baldasaro, Somerville, Mass.; Betty (Hughie) MacNeil, Estmere; Ivadelle, Orangedale; James MacNeil, Red Point; Dwayne (Lois) MacLean, Michigan; Kim (Mark) d’Entremont , Wendy MacLean, Phoenix, Arizona; Laughie and Joann, Ontario.
Florence was predeceased by her husband, Freddie; sisters, Murdena, Elizabeth and Irene; brothers, Dan and Willie.
By request of the deceased there will be no visitation or service. A private family burial will take place in Gillis Cove Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
