GEORGE ANDREW BOLLMAN - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George Bollman at age 67. George passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 18, 2014. Born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on December 3, 1946, he was the second son of the late Milton and Florence (Sim) Bollman of Antelope Lake.

He finished his grade 12 in Gull Lake, then attended University in Saskatoon where he received his degree in Chemical Engineering. He then got a job in Thompson, Manitoba for 2 years until he saved enough money to take one year off and travel through Europe and northern Africa. He then returned to the farm on the east side of Antelope Lake until he got a job at the Kalium chemical plant outside of Regina. Here he settled and purchased a house. He was in Regina for 15 years until April of 1988. In 1985 he met MIRLINE SELMA who was an occupational therapist. They had both decided they would like a change so in the summer of 1987 they took off 6 weeks from work and travelled across Canada all the way out to PEI. They liked New Brunswick the best so started looking for jobs out there after returning home. GEORGE got a job near Sussex so in the spring of 1988 they moved out there, sold GEORGE’s house in Regina and bought a house on an acreage near Sussex. On August 30, 1988 they were married at home.

GEORGE always enjoyed tennis, curling, broomball, swimming, reading and driving stock cars.

George is survived by his wife Mirline, two sons, Scott Bollman (Jessica Burrell) of Moncton and his son Damien; Michael Bollman of Calgary and son Darius; a daughter, Loresha Bollman (Brandon Earle) of Hillsborough; siblings Dennis (Bev) Bollman of Antelope Lake, Sk. and their children Angela, Melinda, Jonathon and Anthony; sister Fern (Mathew) McNaughton of Calgary, AB and their son Kevin and sister Connie (Wayne) Sorenson of Webb, SK and their children Jaime, Tammy and Tyler and numerous great nieces and nephews as well as many other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by a sister, Vicki Bollman of Edmonton, AB.

A celebration of George’s life will be held on August 30, 2014 at Select Funeral Home in Sussex, New Brunswick at 2:oo p.m. Internment of the ashes will take place privately at a later date.
