VAN BUSKIRK, NORMAN JAMES - Norman Van Buskirk, a Veteran of the First Special Service Force, age 91, of Halifax, NS and formerly of Mountain Road, Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Camp Hill Veterans’ Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 25, 2014. Born in Sunny Brae, he was the son of the late Elvy (Dickie) and James Van Buskirk. Norman will be sadly missed by his loving children, Trudy Karacsony (Joe) of Ancaster, ON, and Dee Palmer Buffett (Monty) of Beaverbank, NS; precious grandchildren, Vaughan, James, Justin, Kayla, Amber and Jenna; five cherished great grandchildren; his brother Verne of Sarnia, ON and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Madge W. (Marsh) Van Buskirk , daughter, Penny and son, Brad.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Moncton Legion Branch #6 Memorial Service on Thursday at 5:45 pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Norman will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
