It is with great shock and sadness that his family announce his sudden passing on Sunday, August 31, 2014, of (Ernest) Preston Coffin of Morell, aged 72. The death occurred while visiting with family in Edmonton, Alberta.
Beloved husband of 47 years to Phyllis (Nicholson) Coffin. Adored father of Heather (Brian) Howatt, Charlottetown; David (Angela) Coffin, Edmonton; and Ian (Jill) Coffin, Stratford. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Libby and Devon Howatt; Ryan, Haley and Dylan Coffin; Morgan Coffin; all his nieces and nephews; and man's best furry friend "Buddy". Also survived by siblings Eleanor MacLeod, Fredericton; Lorraine Coffin, Charlottetown; Edward (Donna) Coffin, Morell; and brothers-in-law, David Nicholson, Sam (Cathy) Nicholson; and sister-in-law, Jessie (Guy) Lockerbie. He was predeceased by sister, Miriam Hyslop, and brothers-in-law, Doug Hyslop and Tom MacLeod.
Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday from Peter Gordon Memorial United Church in Morell at 2 p.m. Interment in Midgell Cemetery.
