Lieu de décès : Shelburne, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 3 septembre 2014

HOLLETT, Frank “David”, 58, of East Green Harbour, passed away in Roseway Hospital on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Born in Sandy Point he was a son of the late Ernest and Jessie (Kearly) Hollett. Through his kindness and love for friends and family, he made the world a better place. He was, and will always be, the anchor in our lives, constant and reassuring. He was a man who loved working and playing on the ocean, saying it was where he felt most alive, but he loved his family more and chose to work on the land so he could be closer to them. He was a father, a grandfather, a husband, a brother a son, a nephew, a partner, an uncle, and a friend. To those closest to him, related or not, he was family. He was a father without equal. He was a grandfather who caused his grandchildren’s eyes to sparkle at the mere mention of his name. He was a hard worker, but also kind and compassionate, traits he passed on to his children, and again to his grandchildren. He was the best damn salesperson on the south and west shore, but he would never boast. He built houses, decks, roofs, kitchens. He built places where love could flourish. He built relationships that will last forever. He left us with sadness for what we have lost, but he left us stronger and better people because of what he helped us become. His legacy and memories will live on in his daughter Cara and grand-daughter Kailey who share his kindness and compassion; his son Jason, wife Akane and grandsons Kai and Lennon who share his need to build a better world; his brother Ron, wife Betty and his wonderful children Jennifer and Kevin and grandchildren; his niece Wendy, who also called him her hero, and her beautiful children and granddaughter; his nephew Cary and lovely daughter; and his Uncle Eli who was so important to him. They will also live on with his friends and colleagues at Spartan Marine, his friends at Campers Haven who became like family, the Community of Lockeport where he grew up with friends and family, and through all his friends and family far and wide. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Jesse, and brothers Ernest Jr. and John as well as Charles and Peter in infancy. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 10 at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Trevors officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Hillcrest Academy and Community Playground Society. On-line condolences may be sent to: hmhuskilson@ns.aliantzinc.ca or you may sign the guest book at www.huskilson.net
