It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of George Thomas Morgan on Sept. 2, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with loving family at his side.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Moses and Susanna (Groves) Morgan.
In George’s younger years he was employed with Bobby Guy’s IGA in New Aberdeen, then for 35 years he was employed with M&B Wholesales.
Surviving are his wife, Diane; daughter, Katherine (Murray) Nightingale; son, David (Tania Lussier) Morgan; three grandchildren, Breton, Cody and Carlee; brother, Fred (Carolyn) Morgan and Aunt Lil Talbot.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Laura and Shirley.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at Warden United Church 2 p.m.
Family flowers only, donations can be made to the Lung Association in George’s memory.
