Pearle McConnell, 90 years of age, passed away, after a long and courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, on March 26, 2013 in Calgary, AB.
Born in Borden, P.E.I. on August 30, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Laura (nee Mitchell) Stewart.
Pearle will be remembered fondly. Her positive demeanor, willingness to help others, and her involvement with community activities were characteristics appreciated by all who knew her.
Pearle’s family life was most important to her. Her sons, Charles and Grant, benefited greatly from growing up in a very supportive and positive environment.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and her brothers, Harold and Charles. Her son, Grant, of Vestal, New York, passed away in July of 2013. Her sister, Audrey McKinnon, of Charlottetown, P.E.I., passed away in September of 2013.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Patti) and her daughter-in-law, Rhonda, along with seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Crossroads Cemetery in Stratford, P.E.I. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
