Chambers, Ronald Max, age 74, of Windsor, formerly of Newport Station, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on March 24, 1940, in Brooklyn, Hants Co., he was the youngest son of the late George and Evelyn (Sanford) Chambers. Ron was a carpenter by trade for over 45 years and a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 83. He had worked for many companies, in and around the Halifax area. A hard worker, enjoyed hunting and loved his chewing tobacco in early years. Ron is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Chambers (Frank), River Glade, NB; grandchildren, Evan Gray and Danielle Gray; great granddaughter, Mya; brothers, George (Molly) Chambers, Brooklyn; Lester (Shirley) Chambers, Dartmouth; sisters, Edith Levy, Windsor; Joan Turple, Stewiacke. He was predeceased by brothers, Ted, Donald, Howard, Gordon, Arthur and Harley Chambers; sisters, Gladys Murphy, Geraldine Hunter and Marguerite Dahr. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Dykeland Lodge, 124 Cottage Street, Windsor, with Rev. Debra Mosher officiating. Interment will be held at the Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix. Family flowers only, donations in memory may be made to the Friends of Dykeland. Arrangements are under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O.
