It's with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our son, Steve White on Aug. 30, 2014 in Warburg, Alta.
Steve was born Sept. 4, 1977 in Halifax, N.S. to Irene MacQueen, (Carleton Place, Ont.) and Rod (Colleen) White, (Mahone Bay, N.S.).
During his formative years Steve attended schools in Baden, Germany; Donkin, C.B.; Ottawa and Richmond Hill, Ont. In his mid-twenties he obtained his license as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Dartmouth, N.S.
It soon became obvious to his family and friends that Steve had a gift in Sales and he often excelled in that field when working at Kent Building Supplies in Dartmouth, N.S.
Steve was also a good story teller and always had a way of making people laugh, especially when he was talking about his parents.
One of Steve's greatest joys came in 1999 with the birth of his daughter, Chloe Ella White, (Dartmouth, N.S.). His love for her was unconditional and he was so proud of her. We are so blessed to have her in our lives.
Like so many other Maritimers, Steve moved to Alberta for work about seven years ago, but his heart was always in N.S., missing his daughter and dreaming of one day living on oceanfront property.
Also mourning our loss are Steve's grandfather, Willis White (St. Georges, Nfld.) and grandmother, Tillie McQueen (Donkin, N.S.). His Aunts, Delphine; Zita; Barb; Margie; Pam; Kim and Dianne and his Unlces, Larry; Tommy; Wayne; Ian and Dave, along with numerous cousins.
Steve was predeceased by his grandmother, Mary White and his grandfather, Fraser McQueen and most recently his aunt, Jeanette.
We brought Steve back home and interment has taken place at St. Peter's Catholic Parish in St. Peter's, C.B. which was presided by Fr. Dennis Lamey.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude to Chloe's mother, Tiffany Samson and Chloe's maternal grandparents, Stephen and Darlene Samson for all their help and compassion during this difficult time.
Steve you will always be in our hearts and prayers.
