Passed away at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, Mrs. Irma Jean Pond, age 78 years, of Lewisporte. She was predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Gladys Jones; husband, Norman; infant children, Mary Lou and Philip. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Randy of Lewisporte, Norma (Wade Kean) of St. John's, Karen (Junior Freake) of Lewisporte; grandchildren, Michael Pond, Alison Smart (Victor), Melissa (Chris Brunette), Andrea Smart, Lauren Kean (Matt), Ian Smart (Brittany), Philip Kean (Krista), Emily Kean (Denys); great-grandchildren, Olivia Pond, Holden Brunette, Mason Brunette, Alessandro and Giancarlo Rosales; sister, Isabel England; brothers, Ross Jones (Jean), Ken Jones (Nicole) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will take place from St. Matthews United Church, Lewisporte on Saturday, September 20th at 2 PM. As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, Grand Falls-Windsor Branch would be gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte.
