Joseph Boudreau

BOUDREAU, JOSEPH H. - (1935 – 2014) - Joseph H. Boudreau of Memramcook passed away peacefully at the Georges-L-Dumont Hospital on September 17th after after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton on November 17, 1935 he was the son of the late Joseph “Azade” Boudreau and Mary Murray. At the time of his retirement in 1998 he was employed as Chief Engineer in the heating plant of the Memramcook Institute. Joseph grew up on a beautiful farm, where he discovered a huge passion for horses. At a very young age he would ride and handle them whenever he had a chance. Later Joe worked tirelessly at raising, training and racing horses throughout the Maritimes and Maine. He owned and cared for his horses until his illness. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Béatrice (Breau), a son, Matthew (Anne Thériault), his beloved grand-daughters, Virginie and Geneviève; two brothers, John (Helga Stoffel) and Robert (Judy Weider) of Long Island, New York. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas (02).
Visitation at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Friday, September 25 from 2 to 4p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St.Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook N.B., on Saturday, September 27th, at 11 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joseph’s life are invited to make it to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or the N.B. Diabetic Association. Arrangements are in the care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca
