POND, Irma Jean- Passed away at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, Mrs. Irma Jean Pond, age 78 years of Lewisporte. She was predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Gladys Jones; husband, Norman; infant children, Mary Lou and Phillip. Left to mourn her passing are her children, Randy of Lewisporte, Norma (Wade Kean) of St. John’s, Karen (Junior Freake) of Lewisporte; grandchildren, Michael Pond, Alison Smart (Victor), Melissa (Chris Brunette), Andrea Smart, Lauren Kean (Matt), Ian Smart (Brittany), Philip Kean (Krista), Emily Kean (Denys); great-grandchildren, Olivia Pond, Holden Brunette, Mason Brunette, Alessandro and Giancario Rosales; sister, Isabel England; brothers, Ross Jones (Jean), Ken Jones (Nicole) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The funeral service took place from St. Matthew’s United Church, Lewisporte on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor Branch would be gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main St., Lewisporte.
