At the Kensington Community Care Home on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, of L. Muriel Brown, formerly of School St., Kensington, aged 102 years. She was born in Darnley on March 14, 1912, the last surviving member of the late Frank and Lucy E.D. (Abbott) MacKay family. Wife of the late D. Ray Crozier and the late J. Henry (Harry) Brown. Mother of Evelyn Dalton, (Howard) deceased, and Margaret Blakeney (deceased). Mother-in-law of Kenneth Blakeney. Grandmother of Stephen Dalton (deceased), Stella (Chris) Farrell, Wilfred (Sylvia), Jo-Anne, Howard and David Dalton, Beverley (Kevin) Waugh, Barbara Lewis, Brenda Smith, Belinda Bianchinni (deceased), Bonita MacKenzie, Brian, Blaine, and Barry (Jewel) Blakeney and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Joe Wigmore, Allen Weber and Daisy MacKay. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Elton MacKay, Keir (Anna) MacKay, sisters Jean (Bruce) Ramsay, Louise (Gordon) Crossman, Esther Wigmore and Joyce Weber. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. Funeral Friday at the Kensington United Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People's Cemetery Kensington.
