The death occurred at Notre Dame Convent, Sydney Street, Charlottetown, on Friday, January 2, 2009, of Sr. Margaret Jane Murphy (Sr. St. Linus), Sister of the Congregation of Notre Dame, age 92 years. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Anne (Holland) Murphy. She is survived by her sister, Sr. Mary Murphy CSM, her brother, Walter (Theresa) Murphy, and sisters-in-law Lucy and Anita Murphy. She was predeceased by her brothers, John and Fred Murphy. Transferred from the Hennessey Funeral Home to Notre Dame Convent, 246 Sydney St., Charlottetown, for visiting hours on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Monday, with funeral mass from the Chapel of Notre Dame Convent at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
