Age 56
Over 15 years and through three different types of cancer, Wayne’s strong will to live began another journey — into eternal life. On Oct. 4, 2014, Wayne joined those waiting for him including friends and family, especially his parents Georgie and Henry; and his sister, Eleanor Steele. Still here to pay tribute to him are Chad (his only son and "his world"); his wife (and "his Rock"), Marina; his brothers Kenny (Marie) and Ivan (Debbie Clow); his sisters Alberta Gallant, Anita Flett (Rick); Rita McQuaid (Gene); Shirley Robinson; Marlene McInnis; Emily Blanchard; Sandra Doucette (Aldon); Eileen Babineau (Gary); and Linda Carty (Eddie Arsenault); as well as his mother-in-law, Christina McMurrer; brothers-in-law, Ian (Donna) and Allan; and sisters-in-law, Edwena Arbuckle (Kirk) and Rowena Shea; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins and his puppy Rico. Visiting hours to be held at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with Funeral Mass Wednesday, Oct. 8, at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, Kinkora at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Wayne’s wishes are for donations to be made to Queen’s County Home Care, Charlottetown. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
