Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear on Monday, October 6, 2014, O. Mae Flight of Small Point, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband: Max; son: Perry; parents: Richard and Flora King; brother: Warren King; sisters: Mariam Blundon and Vera Coady; sister-in-law: Mary King and special sister-in-law: Doris Legrow. brothers-in-law: Hubert Burden and Jim McCoppan; special niece: Betty Greeley; Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Maxine (William) Coates, Ontario, Elaine (Tom)Traverse, Kingston, Donna (Danny) Doyle, Ontario, Bev (Ken) Reynolds, Small Point and Paula (Glenn) Whalen, Ontario; two sons: Barry (Wanda), Ontario and Keith (Brenda), Kingston; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four brothers: Bert (Bernice) King, St. John's, Andrew (Marion) King, Victoria, Bill (Linda) King and Doug (Theresa) King, both of Ontario; three sisters: Ruth Burden, Ontario, Eileen (Clayton) Lynch, Bishop's Cove and Myrtle Hewitt, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Flight, St. John's and Myrtle (Johnny) Tobin, Fort McMurray, AB; brother-in-law: Robert (Kathy) Flight, Small Point and her friends at the Charwood Manor, Carbonear; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Tuesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Broad Cove.
