Harriet Isabel Avery, age 79, of Westville passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bigney) Turner.

Harriet grew up in Westville, however, lived in various areas over the years. She was a member of St. Bees Anglican Church, Westville.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Julie MacPherson (Gordon), New Glasgow; Ina Allen (Ken), Alberta; sons, John (Danielle), New Glasgow; Doug, Pugwash; Bill, New Glasgow; Hugh, Halifax; grandchildren, Trevor, Ashley, Chelsea, Hilary; Jonathan, Justin, Cailin; Larissa, Tyler, Brad, Christien, York; Benjamin and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Karagan, Brogan, Chase, and Thea; sisters, Annie Quinn, Pearl MacLean, brothers, Allister Turner (Vivian), Douglas Turner (Helen), Rick Filmore (Matilda); and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Cecil; infant son Brian; brothers, Joseph Allen, Jerry and Lawrence; sisters, Josephine, Mary Jane, Alice MacInnis, Mabel MacIsaac;

There will be no visitations. Her memorial service will be held 2 o’clock Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Arch Deacon Peter Armstrong officiating. Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
