Passed away into peace on the Oct. 5, 2014 at Shirley's Haven Personal Care Home in St. Anthony in his 90th year, Mr. Garland Elliott of Cook's Harbour. Garland leaves behind his brothers Ramond, Leonard (Elsie), and Hayward (Lillian); his sister Lottie as well as nephews, nieces, and a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Effie Elliott, brothers James, John, and Walter. Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Cook's Harbour from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8 with Rev. Mark Wilkoff officiating. Burial followed in the Cook’s Harbour Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
