Roderick Gerard McInnis

Roderick Gerard McInnis, 57, passed away suddenly on October 9, 2014 in Inuvik, NWT.

Born in New Glasgow, Rod was the son of Donald and Helen (Legere) McInnis. He lived in Stellarton his entire boyhood, before leaving to become a plumber in Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

Besides his mother Helen, Rod is survived by his daughter Rebecca, sons Jamie, Douglas and Bradford, NWT; brother Ted (Diane) and numerous grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife Maureen Keevik, son Burton, father Donald and brothers Donald and Gregory.

Funeral services will be held in Inuvik later this month, with burial in the Inuvik Cemetery.

Donations in Rod’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
