Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Saturday, October 11, 2014, Edith Joyce Parsons of Harbour Grace, age 82 years. Predeceased by husband: Freeman; parents: James and May Powell; brothers: Wilfred, Eric and Gord Powell; sisters: Doris (Earl) Ryan and Beatrice (Max) Powell; sister-in-law: Carrie Gruber. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Rhonda Parsons, Toronto, ON and Annette Parsons (Chris Jackman), Etobicoke, ON; two sons: Carl (Mary), Ottawa and Chad, Gander; eight grandchildren: Caitlin, Cory, Nicklaus, Raymond, Julian, Jason, Brad and Michael; six great-grandchildren: Aspen, Lucas, Hunter, Amelia, Quinton and Alainah; one brother: Lloyd (Gladys) Powell, Bonavista; brother-in-law: Wilfred Parsons, Harbour Grace; sisters-in-law: Margaret Powell and Edith Powell, both of Bonavista; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, October 15 at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Harbour Grace.
