­Dorothy B. “Dot” Cresine, 90 of Stellarton Road, formerly of Springville, passed away October 15, 2014 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in West Chester, she was a daughter of the late George and Edith (Purdy) Parker.
She was a resident of New Glasgow since 2004 having previously been a long-time resident of Springville where she and her late husband Roy operated a farm from 1956-1993.
Dorothy was an adherent of Bridgeville United Church.
She is survived by a sister Betty Samen, Truro; a niece Phyllis (Anton) Carter and family, North Bay, Ont; special family Bob and Jessie MacKay and family, Springville; foster daughter Jane Foance, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by her husband Roy, a sister Hazel Angevine, a brother Harold, brothers-in-law Herman Angevine and Clarence Samen.
Cremation to take place. There will be no visitation or service at the request of the deceased.
A graveside committal service will be held at a later date at Boylston United Church Cemetery, Guysborough County.
