It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle and friend, Terrance Allan Nicholson on Oct. 15, 2014, at home.
Born Jan. 13, 1955 to Irene (MacRae) and the late John B. Nicholson.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Carmichael); son, Ian (Julie); daughter, Cara (Cory); special grandchildren, McKenna and Mason. Terrance is also survived by two sisters, Jean Marie Amey (Roland) and Mary and many special aunts, uncles, nephews and friends and special pets, Maggie, Captain and grand dog, Abby.
Terrance retired from the Dept. of Transportation in 2010 after 35 years of service. His retirement years were devoted to being the best grampa and "shop" time.
Special thanks to Dr. Chow, Dr. Ritter, M. Macleod, RN, VGMH staff and the amazing generosity of friends and family. He was very grateful to have lived in a place with such community support.
In keeping with Terrance's wishes there will be no visitation or church service. A public committal service will be held at the Middle River Cemetery, Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Alison Etter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Middle River Community Hall, Middle River Fire Dept. or the Victoria County Hospice Society.
