Charlie Machiskinic
November 23, 1948 – October 6, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charlie Machiskinic on Oct. 6, 2014. Charlie is lovingly remembered by his wife Joanne, his children, Glen Pauchay, Bernita Pauchay, (Stephen),Tamilyn Grey, Sabrina Pauchay, Sylvia Pauchay (Kevin), Lisa Pauchay (Mike), Christopher Pauchay (Priscilla), Jayson Pauchay (Charly), Sheila Pauchay (Danny ); his step children, Nicole Otto (Darrell), Jason Bourassa (Wendy). He is survived by 42 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie Sr. and Annie Machiskinic, his brother , his son Jonathan Gray, his grandchildren, Caydence and Santana Pauchay, and step grandson Eric Bourassa.
Charlie was born and raised on the Yellow Quill First Nation, and lived there most of his life. He was a very traditional spiritual man with strong cultural beliefs. He was retired from Greenwater Lake Provincial Park where he worked for 27 years.
Charlie loved to old time dance and square dance. He always had a twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face and a quick step. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
The wake and funeral were held at Yellow Quill First Nation.
