SHERWOOD, JUNE - 1924 - 2014 - June Sherwood, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on October 19, 2014, at the age of 90. Born in Moncton on June 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harold Vernon and Nina Crossman. June is survived by her daughter Sandra (Fred) Boddy, and son Greg (Donna) Smith, brother Clave (Fern) Crossman, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husbands; Howard Smith, and Stan Sherwood.
A Funeral to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00am, with visitation on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00pm to 9:00 pm. The family would like to thank the staff of the 5200 unit and 3400 unit at The Moncton Hospital for their great care, especially Dr. Legault and Dr. Deveau. A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined in favor of donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Friends of The Moncton Hospital.
