CORMIER, NOEL H. - 1934 - 2014 - Noel H. Cormier, 79, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital on Saturday, October 18,2014. He was married to Elda (Cormier) Cormier. Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, he was the son of the late Hector and the late Annie (Melanson) Cormier. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a carpenter, a heavy equipment operator and most recently a school bus driver. With his free time he loved to fish, hunt and work with his tractor. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Elda, his son Jean-Paul (Rose-Marie) of Fitchburg, MA, his sister, Lorraine Fortier (Rosaire) of Fitchburg, MA, his brothers; René (Annette) of Westminster, MA, Louis (Gladys) of Moncton and several nieces and nephews. Noel was predeceased by his sisters; Jeanne, Huberte and Anita and brothers; Gerard and Albert.
Visitations will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Monday, October 20th, 2014 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Church, on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 4:00pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Noel’s memory a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
