Tana Louise Traboulsee (Wilkinson), 67, of Glace Bay died peacefully Oct. 18, 2014, surrounded by her children.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Jr and Molly Traboulsee, of Glace Bay.
She was predeceased by her husband Skip Wilkinson.
She is survived by her daughter Tami (Blaine) Mitchell and son Tony Wilkinson (Amanda) of Alberta; three grandchildren, Alex, Emme and Isaiah; brothers, Don (Marcia) and Charlie Traboulsee as well as many nieces and nephews.
Tana was a longtime member of the McDougall Girls Pipeband, and travelled to many competitions with the group.
Tana loved music, especially Elvis and played darts for many years. Tana travelled to Alberta annually to spend Christmas with her grandchildren, and would stay for several months, although her children tried hard to have her move to Alberta, she loved Cape Breton and the people. Tana had several great friends, many of whom spent hours at her bedside while she was in the hospital.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday , Oct. 21 at Curry' Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Curry's funeral home chapel.
