LÉGER, ULRIC T. - 1920 - 2014 - Ulric T. Léger, 94, of Residence Castel Des Flots Bleus in Cap-Pelé, passed away at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Born October 14, 1920 in Trois-Ruisseaux, he was the son of the late Tilmon and Dina (Fagan) Léger. Before his retirement, he was a carpenter and a farmer. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 72 years, Yolaine (Duguay); two daughters: Jeannette Surette (Reginald) of Grand-Barachois and Hélène Caissie (Ronald) of Trois-Ruisseaux; eight sons: Emery (Phyllis) of Riverview, Yves (Thérèse) and Léo (Alphonsine) both of Grand-Barachois, Aris (Norma), Omer (Jacinthe), Louis (Janice) and Paul (late Rosella) all of Trois-Ruisseaux and Roger (Denise) of Dieppe; three sisters: Laura McArdle (late Gerry), Madeleine Vautour (late Aimé) and Andréa Rhindress (Jimmy) all of Amherst, N.S.; two brothers: Aris (Ivy) and Edgar (Jolene) both of Amherst, N.S.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; special companion, Buddy, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Irène, Suzanne and Eva; three brothers: Régis, Mathias and Francis.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Ch. Acadie, Cap-Pelé (532-3297) on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:20 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Ulric, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
