Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, George W. Earle of Carbonear, age 92 years. Predeceased by parents: Thomas and Jessie; sisters: Lydia Earle, Angela (John) Goodwin and Helen Earle; niece: Brenda Goodwin. Leaving to mourn, wife: Frances; two daughters: Lydia Ash and Lynda (Christopher) O'Grady, both of Carbonear; one son: Neil (Susan), California, USA; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Paul), Michael (Sarah) and Jessica; two great-grandchildren: Sarah and Matthew; brother-in-law: Duncan Howell, Alberta; sisters-in-law: Flora McCarthy, Sault Saint Marie, ON, Emma Wells and Jean (Clarence) Taylor, both of St. John's; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
