We the family of the late Marlene Steele announce the sudden passing on Oct. 22, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.
Marlene is survived by sisters, Wanda (Carmen), Barbara (Ray); nephews, Scott, Todd and Trevor.
She was the daughter of the late George and Emma May (Weatherbee) Steele of Westmount.
She was predeceased by a brother in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, N.S.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date.
At this time we would also like to thank nurses Cathy and Andrew in ICU and the doctors who tirelessly showed compassion and professionalism during her stay. Also thanking Jim Delaney, funeral director at Chant's funeral home for his guidance and professionalism during this time.
