October 26, 1923 - October 23, 2014. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Oliver Humphries at the golden age of 90 years. He was one of eleven children: seven boys & four girls, born to Rosanna (nee Tiller) & Walter Humphries. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Grace, son-in-law Robert Green; brothers, Lacey and Rueben; sisters, Essie, Daisy, Millicent and Louise. Left to celebrate his life with happy memories are his sons, Wayne (Kathleen), Hayward (Dorothy), Warrick, Peter, Woodrow (Kathy), Todd; daughters, Linda Green and Shawna (Brian) Melindy; brothers, Gordon (Laura), Percy (Masie), Walter (Triffie), Lloyd (Melina); grandchildren, Grant, Curtis, Catherine, Tara, Brittany, Scottie, Geoffrey, Timothy, Jessica, Christopher, Berdina, Deanne and Shanna; great grandchildren, Sarah, Christan, David, Hunter, Lacey, Ethan and Zoe. Oliver was well loved and will be forever remembered by family and friends. Rev George Kean officiated the Funeral service at the Valleyfield Memorial United Church on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jennifer Pender of Sincerely Yours Funeral Home.
