It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man. He passed at Glace Bay Hospital with his loving wife at his side.
Rene had many titles in his life, he was a husband, father, papa, great papa, brother, uncle, son and friend, but for many he will always be known simply as, ‘Frenchie’.
He will be missed by his beloved wife of 43 years, Helga Losier, his children, Michelle Leger, Kimberly Losier and Christine McMullin.
He was predeceased by his son, Edgar Leger and his parents, Henry and Jean-Marie Losier.
His legacy will live on by his 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 10 surviving siblings.
Frenchie was a welder by trade, but was often found tinkering away in his shed building things and working around the house.
Whether at work, home or play, Frenchie has left a hole that only time will heal.
A private family service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.
