Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Mary Ann Bugden (Miller), of Paradise (Portugal Cove), in her 102nd year. Predeceased by husband James M. Bugden, brothers Robert John, Harold, Gerald and Edward, and sister Eliza. Left with loving memories are her children Leonard (Eloise), Frank (Ruth), Ann-Jeannette (Hubert Hussey), Don (Phyllis, Dot deceased), Mary (Fred Squires deceased, Mel Way fiancée), 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters Ethel (Ron Dinn deceased), Gladys (Charles Codner deceased), many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially her special friend Catherine Ryan, and friendly visitor Diane. A special thank you to Rev. Garry Parsons, and the nursing staff at St. Clare's. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, November 1 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., Sunday, November 2 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and Monday, November 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove, on Monday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line Extension.
