WATTS, MARGUERITE B. – The death of Marguerite Watts occurred on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital in her 93rd year. She was born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia and was the wife of the late Dr. Henry Watts and daughter of the late Thomas and Mary MacNeil. In her younger years, Marguerite was a nurse in Montreal. Following her nursing career she moved to Saint John and was a home maker. She always enjoyed social gatherings with her husband as well as listening to music, playing the violin and the piano. She was a member of the C.W.L. and many other organizations for years. She is survived by her son William Watts; her brother, Dan MacNeil (Lillian); Grand Children, Stephen Gilker, Debbie Watts, Tommy Watts and Susan Watts as well as several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Thomas H. Watts; daughter Clare Gilker; brothers, William, John and Stanley MacNeil and sister Mary Francis MacDonald. Her grandson Stephen would like to thank the nurses and staff on 4BN at the S.J.R.H. for all their care and support where Marguerite spent the last seven years.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634-1965) with visiting on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel at 2:00pm followed by cremation and interment at a later date. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
