John Louis Chisholm of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at the age of 75 years.
Born in Sydney, N.S., he and his wife and newly born son moved to Medicine Hat, AB in 1962, for a teaching position. They later resided in Nelson, BC for seven years. The family then moved to Calgary in 1970 where John taught for twenty-five years with the Separate School Board before retiring.
John is survived by his sons, Kenneth (Marino Repetto) and Damon (Sonja LeBorgne); daughters, Shannon (Sam Bashir) and Selina (Rick Doucet); grandchildren, Nicole, Mariah, Evan, Michael, Matthew, Daniel, and Avila; brother Joe Chisholm of Moncton NB; and sisters, Marg Higgins and Nora Brothers of North Sydney, NS. John was predeceased by his wife Theresa in 2006; his son Brent in 2014; and his brother Frank.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 - 19th Avenue N.W. Calgary, AB) on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
