It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Harry McCandlish on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at the Palliative Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1928 to the late James and Anne McCandlish.
He was employed as a laboratory manager for the Sydney City Hospital until his retirement.
Harry is survived by his wife, Ella; son, Keith (Gillian) Calgary; his sister, Magdalene.
He was predeceased by his brother, Dugald and sister, Esther.
At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations in Harry's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, the CBRH Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice.
