Peacefully, surrounded by her children, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 of Mrs. Margaret C. "Peggy" Dowling (nee Shanahan) of Charlottetown, age 83 years.
Beloved wife of the late Dennis S. Dowling and dear mother of Diana (Tom) Corcoran, Alan (Estelle) Dowling, Janice (Jim) Miles and JoAnn (Jim) Crawford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Liam (Merissa Mitchell) Corcoran, Sean Corcoran (Kelli Gillis), Kinley Dowling, Kelly (Matthew) Gillis, Jamie (Veronica) Miles, Danny Miles, Jamie Crawford and Jaclyn Crawford; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Tilly Miles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
Visiting hours on Friday 5-8 p.m.
Members of the Holy Redeemer CWL will hold a prayer service for their late member at the funeral home on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
