Peacefully at Whisperwood Villa on Friday, January 9, 2009, of Maud MacDonald of Stratford, formerly of Monticello, age 84 years. Beloved wife of the late James (Bornish) MacDonald and dear mother of Arlene (Paul) McGuigan, Stratford; Claire (Dennis) Spidel, Stratford; Gerald, Monticello; David, Mount Stewart; Gene (Dorothy Curley), Monticello; Frank, Stratford; Richard (Jeannie), Stratford and Jeff (Dianne), Stratford. Sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sister Elmer (Bernice) O\'Hanley, B.C.; Frank O’Hanley, Monticello; Leonard (Isabel) O’Hanley, Montreal; John Joe (Dot) O’Hanley, Naufrage, and Jenny (Leo) McQuaid, Charlottetown. Also survived by brother and sister-in-law Rita O’Hanley, Ontario; John J. MacDonald, Naufrage; Mena MacDonald, Stratford and Mary MacDonald, Stratford. Predeceased by parents Daniel and Mary Ellen (Hanning) O’Hanley, brothers and sisters Mildred (Aeneas) MacDonald, Mary (Hubert) MacDonald, Helen (Gussie) MacDonald, Wally O’Hanley, Peggy MacDonald and Danny O’Hanley and brothers-in-law Stephen MacDonald and Chester MacDonald. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, for visiting hours on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral. Funeral to be held on Tuesday morning January 13, 2009, at St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
