SAULNIER, VICTOR - Victor Saulnier, 88, of Scoudouc, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC surrounded by his loving family. Born June 13, 1926 in St-Antoine, he was the son of the late Vital and Élia (LeBlanc) Saulnier. He was a former employee with #5 Supply Depot in Moncton. He was a veteran of 2nd World War and served in the Royal Canadian Army posted in Canada. He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Scoudouc. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Albina (Boudreau); children: Lionel (Lina) of Dieppe, Diane Gallant (Yvon) of Grand-Barachois, Doris Cormier (Lévi) of Haute-Aboujagane, Claudette Coates (Brian) of Scoudouc, Ulysse (Francine) of Moncton, Gisèle Saulnier (Bernard LeBlanc) and Daniel (Denise) both of Shediac; eight grandchildren: Denis, Isabelle, Sylvie, Julie, Sophie, Marc, Serge and Danika; six great-grandchildren: Alex, Brooke, Isaac, Noémie, Xavier and Maëlle, many nieces and nephews. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. He is predeceased by infant son, Ronald (1950); brothers and sisters: Edgar, William, Aurèle, Marie, Léona, Estelle and a half-sister, Lina; one great-grandson, Joshua.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Jacques Le Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be in the Frenette Funeral Centre Columbarium, Shediac. In memory of Victor, a contribution to the IWK Health Centre or CHU Dumont Foundation (Tree of Hope, http://arbredelespoir.chudumont.ca/) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
