The death occurred at Stewart Memorial Long-Term, Tyne Valley, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, of George Elmer Labobe of Lennox Island aged 71. George was born in Lennox Island on April 16, 1943, son of the late Frank and Madeline (Knockwood) Labobe. Dear father to Darlene (Don) Bernard and loving grandfather to Danielle (Cory) Annand, Brad, Blake, Drew and his great-grandchildren Madison, Zachary and Ava. He is survived by his sister Betty Jane Sark-Steele and brother Hardy, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters: Mary Jane Gallant, Pearline Gallant, Anita Labobe, Muriel Peters, Lillian Saulnier and by brothers: Stephen, Peter, James, Roger, Raymond, Edward, Pat and Donnie. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel for visiting hours Friday, Nov. 28, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass on Saturday, Nov. 29, at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
