Allister Chase

CHASE, ALLISTER DUNBAR - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Allister Dunbar Chase on November 23rd, 1926 he was the son of Donald and Lucilla (Darrah) Chase. Allie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Doreen (Fulton) Chase, daughter Lorraine (Stephen) Hoyt, sons Dennis (Colleen), Dana (Jo-Ann) and Adam; four sisters Laurel Thompson, Donna (Weldon) Crawford, Claire (Melvin) Crawford and Evelyn Blyth; two brothers Ray (Dianna) and Clenton (June) and special nephew Bobby Chase; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents Allie was predeceased by two sisters Thelma and Daisy, three brothers Wesley, Lee and Harold and infant grandson Ben. Allie owned and operated a dairy farm for over forty years which fulfilled a childhood dream. He also fulfilled another lifelong dream when he built a retirement home for him and Doreen on the banks of the Salmon River in Briggs Corner. Allie was a member of the Orange Lodge LOL#150 for sixty-six years serving two terms as Treasurer, the second one lasting forty years. He was also a member of the Chipman United Church. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home for the special care and love they gave to Allie.
Visitation will be at Hogg Funeral Service (43 Main Street, Chipman) on Sunday, November 30, 2014, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Funeral services will be held at Chipman United Church on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2 o’clock with Rev. Betty-Jean Friedman officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chipman United Church or charity of the donor’s choice. www.hoggfunerals.ca
