With sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister, Mary, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Gordon and Eileen (Campbell) Billard.
Mary spent her earlier years growing up in Sydney Mines. The remainder of her time was very fulfilling as a resident of various group homes in the Sydney area until health issues brought her to long term care at the Cape Breton Ability Center and most recently, Harborstone Enhanced Care. She lived her life to the best of her ability, enjoying especially, bowling and swimming.
She is survived by her brother, Ross, Halifax; sisters, Rosanne (Frank Campbell) Whycocomagh and Ruth (Philip Crowdis), Dartmouth; four nieces and one nephew.
Special thanks to all caregivers of Mary throughout her life and to the staff of the Regional Hospital, who were so supportive.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be announced at a later date.
