It is with great sadness that the family of the late Philip John Leonard announce his passing on Saturday December 6, 2014 at the Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his Children: Donald and (the late Mary), Patricia (Hilary) Mombourquette, Reginald (Linda), Rosemarie (Sis) and (the late Donald), 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, Sister: Katherine, brothers: Thomas and Patrick, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife: Marie, Son: John, Parents: Michael and Mary, brothers: Arthur, and James. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street on Monday, December 8th, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Parish in Curling on Tuesday, December 9th, at 10:30 AM with his son Father Donald Leonard officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish Curling or to the Janeway Children’s Hospital St. John’s.
