The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, of Arthur James Annand of Summerside, formerly of Poplar Grove, aged 82, beloved husband of Rose (nee Coughlin). Arthur was born in Truro, N.S., May 26, 1932, son of the late Karl and Daisy (Milligan) Annand. Dear father to Joanne (Rollie) MacKay; Edward (Bev); Bobby (Colleen); Debbie (Emmett) Gallant; Edna (Brian) Dennis; David (Carla); Hassie (Randy) Palmer; Heather (Dale) Strongman; Karl (Mike McKay), and Tracy (Paul) Grady. Loving grampie to 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Arthur is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Bob Coughlin; Bill (Geralda) Coughlin; Amelia Perry; Ruth Tuplin; Hal (Goldie) Coughlin; Stanley (Bernadette) Coughlin; Shirley (Phil) Dempsey; Art (Jean) Coughlin; Edna Coughlin; Marjorie Coughlin and Eunice Coughlin. Predeceased by his parents, son Richard, brother David and sister Norma. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with private family visiting hours Monday, Dec. 15, 2 to 5 p.m. Private family funeral on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, in the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow in the Freeland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In memory of Art, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
