At home on Saturday, December 20, 2014, of G. Elbert Orr of Mayfield, aged 88 years. Born in Mayfield on July 7, 1926, the last surviving member of the late George and Hannah (MacKenzie) Orr family. Husband of the late Shirley (MacKay) Orr. Father of Nancy, Mayfield; Gordon (Elizabeth), Mayfield; and John of Brussels, Belgium. Grandfather to Jennie and Megan Orr. Brother-in-law of Lorraine Orr. Uncle of Leith (Elaine) Orr, Paulette (Reudy) Smith, Debbie (Tim) Legere, Susan Orr, Garth (Joanne) Cole and Sandra Cole. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in the Central Queens United Church, Hunter River, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the New Glasgow Cemetery. If so desired contributions may be made to the New Glasgow Cemetery Fund, Central Queens United Church or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Brethren of Prince of Wales Lodge #18, Wheatley River, will hold a Masonic Memorial Service at the funeral home Monday evening at 9 p.m.
