MARY K. MUSIAL
Card of Thanks
Mary K. Musial
We, the family of Mary K. Musial, extend heartfelt appreciation to all who supported us during our recent bereavement. We thank those who travelled from near and far (and those who eased their journeys); all who visited, called, sent flowers, food, gifts, cards, on-line condolences, messages, and donations, and those who generously bestowed healing hugs. Special thanks to Mom’s grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and to granddaughter Jill Dean who, with style, grace, and awesome energy made the impossible look easy. Granny/Aunt Mary would be so proud of all of you. As we are. We thank the staffs of Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines, and of Taigh Na Mara, Glace Bay, for their care of Mom while she resided with them, and Kim for her devotion to Mom during her last years; Fr. Norman McPhee for his timely visit to Mom; Fr. Ray Huntley who celebrated Mass, St. Leonard Church Choir and Deacon Leo Penny who assisted and spoke eloquently at St. James Cemetery. Thanks to McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, New Waterford, for their kindness, and to the KOC women who catered the reception following interment. Pallbearers: sons Chuck, Fred, Michael, and Kevin Musial, and grandsons Michael Hayes and Michael David Musial. Honourary pallbearers: Mom’s brothers Fred and Frank Rostek, grandson Martin Steele, and granddaughters Nancy, Cindy, and Danielle. Thanks to Father Huntley and to Jill, Mom’s final wish was granted: she left St. Leonard Church, New Waterford, accompanied by Raylene Rankins’s exquisite rendition of
(We) Rise Again.
With deepest thanks to all,
The Musial Family: Charlotte, Marilyn, Chuck, Fred, Michael, Kevin, & Mary Lou.
