BRIDEAU, LÉDA - 1940 - 2014 - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Léda Brideau, beloved wife of Gilles Brideau for 52 years, which occurred on Monday, December 29, 2014 at La Villa Saint-Joseph in Tracadie-Sheila, NB. Born in Tracadie on May 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Celina (Saint-Cœur) Basque. Léda was a retired teacher with 35 years of service. She is survived by her children: Monique (Lucien Hébert) of Tracadie-Sheila, Pierre (Lise Robichaud) of Tracadie-Beach and Rachel (Barry Power) of Quispamsis, NB; two grandsons: Guillaume-Olivier and Miguel-Gilles Brideau; her brothers and sisters; Ola (Raymonde Johnson), Allie (late Norma Poirier), Aldéric (Diane Bourgon), Shirley, Ella (Raymond Savoie), Clermont (Kelly Andries), Clodère (Anida McGraw), Jean-Judes (Hélène LeBlanc) and Colette (Robert Mackrous) who was also her godchild; her brothers and sisters in laws; Hermès (Jacqueline St-Pierre), Ella (Georges Comeau), Claude (Rose-Marie Morais), Anita (late Alexis Brideau), Florence (late Armand Brideau); her aunt Dorina (late Sandy Saint-Cœur), her uncle Gaspard Saint-Cœur; her godchildren; Monique McLaughlin, Robert Brideau, Michel Comeau, Frédéric-Simon Bérubé; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Resting at Robichaud & Son funeral Home, 3875, Main Street, Tracadie-Sheila on Tuesday, December 30 at 2 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Saint-Joseph of Tracadie on Wednesday, December 31 at 2 pm. Visitation hours: Tuesday 2 to 4, 7 to 9, Wednesday noon until the departure. In memory of Mrs Brideau donation to the Villa St-Joseph would be appreciated.
