Victor Jeffers
JEFFERS, VICTOR LEON - It is with great sadness the family of Victor Leon Jeffers announces his passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on December 30, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born in Parsborough, Nova Scotia to the late Roy and Dorothy Jeffers and was the husband of the late Leona Theresa Jeffers. Vic, known as "Uncle" to many of his friends and family, served his country for 22 years with the Canadian Armed Forces and also served with the Knights of Columbus as a Lay Minister. In the little spare time he had, Uncle could be found either in his garden, in the kitchen bottling his homemade jam, or looking at an old car in need of restoration. Victor is survived by daughters, Brigette Paul (Terry Boutilier) and Bernadine Gobeil (Carl); son, Gordon Paul (Treena); ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, John; sisters, Rosela and Bertha, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Vic was predeceased by his son, Robert Paul and brothers, Everett, Lee and David.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday , December 31, 2014 and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11:00 am with Fr. Antonio Reyes as celebrant. Interment will take place in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
