Passed away at his residence in Guelph, Ontario, on Friday, January 9, 2009. Ken MacPhee at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Wood). Loved father of Brent (Kathy) of Barrie, Steven (Michael) of Breslau and Janet Lake (Kenneth) of Crapaud, P.E.I. Proud grandfather of Kaitlyn MacPhee, Jessica (Wayne Gregory), Chelsey and Jordan Lake and great-grandpa of Landen Gregory. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Jennie (Steeves) MacPhee; and his brothers, Ralph and Douglas. Kenneth was a research chemist and employed at Uniroyal Chemical Research Labs in Guelph for 38 years. He was a member of the Chemical Institute of Canada, Sigma XI, Acadia University Alumni and Oxford University Alumni. Ken was a loyal member of First Baptist Church, Guelph and the Wellington Men's Club. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 255 Woolwich Street, Guelph, on Friday, January 16, at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or First Baptist Church would be appreciated.
